Concept of Scrolls written in Common

Common is the language spoken by the Humans of Terfall and with the rise of the human kingdoms common has become the dominant language of Terfall as it is almost spoke if not known by all sentient mortals of that planet.

HistoryEdit

Common was first established in the years following the creation of the Avari, The Gelldir and other elven races noted that they the slave race formed there own sounds and speech for themselves within a phew short centuries after there creation. The elves ignore it for their own Languages.

It the next Millenniums, other species soon learnt the common language with the avari slaves in order to get information from the Elves, Dwarves and Orcs in perticular where quick to learn the languange and pretty soon the language became their natural language overtaking their own in voice and sometimes letter

In other materialsEdit

Common is derived from the Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying game. In that game, the Common  tongue is a lingua franca, or a universal language, spoken natively by humans and bilingually by other races. The concept is derived from Westron, the "common tongue" of Tolkien's Middle Earth, hence the name. It is the language of humans, halflings, half-elves, and half-orcs. The Common tongue also has great hints of the Icelandic tongue.
